Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Voyage's mobile application, website, and related services (the "Service") operated by Voyage Health Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Voyage," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our Service.
These Terms include a binding arbitration agreement and a class-action waiver that affect how disputes are resolved. Please read the "Dispute Resolution and Binding Arbitration" section carefully.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, if higher) to create an account or use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and are not barred from using it under applicable law.
Description of Service
Voyage is an AI-powered pet care companion application that provides:
- Pet profile management and health tracking
- AI-powered chat assistance for pet care questions
- Automated diary generation and health analysis
- Photo analysis and health assessments
- Voice AI calls for real-time pet care conversations
- Medical record analysis and triage assessments
- Nutrition analysis and dietary recommendations
- Notification and reminder services
- Community features and content sharing
User Accounts
To use certain features of our Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Not share your account with others
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Impersonate others or provide false information
- Interfere with the Service's operation or security
- Use automated systems to access the Service
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
- Distribute malware or other malicious code
- Use the Service or its AI Output to develop, train, or improve AI or machine-learning models that compete with Voyage, or to scrape or harvest data from the Service
- Violate applicable laws or regulations
Your Content and AI Output
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you upload, including pet photos, diary entries, and other personal information ("Your Content"). By using our Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- Store and process Your Content to provide our services
- Use AI systems to analyze and generate insights from Your Content
- Send Your Content to third-party AI service providers as described in our Privacy Policy for processing, analysis, and response generation
- Display Your Content back to you within the app
AI Output
"Output" means the content the Service generates for you using AI, such as health assessments, diary text, chat and voice responses, and nutrition analysis. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Voyage assigns to you whatever right, title, and interest it may have in the Output generated for you. You are responsible for your use of Output.
- Output is not unique. Because of the nature of AI, other users may receive the same or similar Output from the Service. Our assignment to you does not extend to Output generated for others, and you do not acquire any exclusive rights in it.
- Accuracy. Output may be inaccurate or incomplete and must not be relied on as a sole source of truth. See "AI-Generated Content and Recommendations" and "Health and Medical Disclaimers" below.
Our Content
The Service, including its design, features, software, and brand, is owned by Voyage and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.
AI-Generated Content and Recommendations
When you use Voyage's chat, voice calls, photo analysis, triage, diary, or other AI features, you are interacting with an automated artificial-intelligence system, not a human. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content is for informational purposes only
- Recommendations should not replace professional veterinary advice
- You are responsible for evaluating and acting on AI recommendations
- AI systems may occasionally produce inaccurate or inappropriate content
- We continuously work to improve AI accuracy but cannot guarantee perfection

Consent to AI Data Processing
By using Voyage's AI-powered features, you expressly consent to having your data — including pet photos, health data, chat messages, voice audio, medical records, and other content you provide — sent to and processed by the following third-party AI service providers:
- Google Gemini (Google LLC) — Health analysis, diary generation, nutrition analysis, triage, chat, and embeddings
- OpenAI / GPT (OpenAI, L.L.C.) — Chat, health analysis, speech-to-text, and document analysis
- xAI / Grok (xAI Corp.) — Health analysis, triage, nutrition, chat, memory generation, and voice AI
- Portkey.ai (Portkey) — AI gateway routing data to Gemini, OpenAI, and xAI
- LiveKit Cloud (LiveKit Inc.) — Voice agent hosting and audio streaming
- Google Vertex AI (Google LLC) — Text and image embeddings for semantic search
This data processing is necessary to provide the core AI features of our Service. For a detailed breakdown of what data is sent to each provider and how to limit your data sharing, please refer to our Privacy Policy and AI Disclaimer.
Health and Medical Disclaimers
Important: Voyage is not a veterinary service and does not provide veterinary medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Using the Service does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship. Our AI-powered features:
- Provide general information and observations only
- Should not be used for emergency situations
- Cannot diagnose medical conditions
- Should supplement, not replace, veterinary consultation
Always consult a qualified veterinarian for medical concerns about your pet. In case of emergencies, contact your veterinarian or emergency animal hospital immediately.
Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal, and Payments
Certain features require a paid subscription. Most subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are billed by Apple or Google under their payment, cancellation, and refund terms.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (for example, monthly or annually, as selected) at the then-current price, until you cancel. Your payment method is charged within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Free trials: If you start a free trial, your paid subscription begins automatically at the disclosed price when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then.
- Cancellation: You can cancel at any time. Subscriptions billed by Apple or Google must be managed or cancelled in your Apple ID / App Store or Google Play account settings; cancelling stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund the current period. Billing, cancellations, and refunds for app-store purchases are handled by the platform, not by Voyage.
- Price changes: We may change subscription pricing. We will give you advance notice, and changes apply to your next renewal.
- Taxes: You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
Apple App Store and Google Play Additional Terms
These additional terms apply when you download or use Voyage from the Apple App Store or Google Play. To the extent they conflict with the rest of these Terms, these additional terms control for the relevant platform.
- Acknowledgment: These Terms are between you and Voyage only, and not with Apple or Google. Voyage, not the platform, is solely responsible for the Service and its content.
- Scope of license: Voyage grants you a non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple-branded or Android device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store or Google Play usage rules.
- Maintenance and support: Voyage is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support. Apple and Google have no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services.
- Warranty: Voyage is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Product claims: Voyage, not the platform, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer-protection or privacy law.
- Intellectual property: Voyage is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
- Legal compliance: You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo and are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party beneficiary: Apple and its subsidiaries (and Google, as applicable) are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
- Developer contact: Questions, complaints, or claims regarding the app should be directed to Voyage at connect@thevoyage.ai.
Feedback
If you send us feedback, ideas, or suggestions about the Service, you grant Voyage a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them for any purpose, without any obligation or compensation to you.
Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy, including the sharing of your data with the third-party AI and infrastructure providers listed therein.
Service Availability
We strive to maintain continuous service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:
- Temporarily suspend service for maintenance
- Modify or discontinue features with notice
- Restrict access in certain geographic regions
- Update the app to improve functionality
Copyright and DMCA
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to connect@thevoyage.ai that includes:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location in the Service
- Your name, address, and contact information
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on its behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
We will respond to valid notices, may remove infringing content, and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If your content was removed, you may submit a counter-notice.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We provide the Service "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We disclaim liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, and for lost profits or data
- Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Voyage in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $100
- We are not liable for AI-generated content accuracy
- You use our pet health recommendations at your own risk
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Voyage, its affiliates, and employees from claims arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Violation of these Terms
- Content you upload or share
- Infringement of others' rights
Termination
Either party may terminate your access to the Service:
- By You: Delete your account through the app settings
- By Us: For violation of Terms, illegal activity, or business reasons
Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy, and these Terms will continue to apply to past use of the Service.
Third-Party Services
Our Service integrates with third-party services to deliver its features. By using our Service, you acknowledge that your data may be shared with these providers. For the complete list of all third-party services, see our Privacy Policy.
Dispute Resolution and Binding Arbitration
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION.
- Informal resolution first. Before starting an arbitration, you agree to first send a written notice describing the dispute to connect@thevoyage.ai. The parties will try in good faith to resolve the dispute for 60 days. This is a precondition to arbitration, and any applicable limitations period is tolled during this time.
- Agreement to arbitrate. If the dispute is not resolved, you and Voyage agree to resolve it through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except as stated below. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this section.
- Jury and class-action waiver. Disputes will be arbitrated only on an individual basis. You and Voyage waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action.
- 30-day right to opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing connect@thevoyage.ai with your name and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
- Small claims. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies, instead of arbitration.
- Coordinated or mass filings. If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are submitted by or with the assistance of the same or coordinated counsel, the demands may be administered in batches to promote efficiency.
- Costs and venue. The AAA rules govern payment of filing and arbitration fees. The arbitration will take place in Delaware or, at your election, in your county of residence or by telephone or videoconference.
- Severability. If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) will proceed in court; the remainder of this section survives.
Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the arbitration section above, any dispute not subject to arbitration will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, nothing in these Terms deprives you of the protections of the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through:
- In-app notifications
- Email notifications (if provided)
- Updated "Last updated" date
Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
